Chocolate Mint Sticks


2 Cups sugar
4 eggs
1 Cup melted butter
3/4 Cup flour
2 squares unsweetened chocolate melted
1 Cup slivered almonds (optional)
1 1/2 t. peppermint flavoring

Cream eggs and sugar, add butter and flour then chocolate, almonds and peppermint. Bake 350 for 15-20 minutes in greased and floured jelly roll pan.

Frosting:
3 Cups powdered sugar
6 T butter
green food coloring
3 T Milk
1 1/2 t. mint flavoring

Frost with thin powdered sugar frosting tinted green. Melt 2 squares of unsweetened chocolate with 2 t. butter and pour over frosted cookies. Set in refrig. til set and cut in strips. Freezes well.
