Cut 1/2 cup Crisco into flour very well. Cut other 1/2 cup coarsely (size of peas). Add water until sticky. Make it ball up with your hands. Divide and roll out. Put apples in, dot with 2 T. butter. Cover with top crust and brush with milk. Sprinkle with sugar. Bake 450 for 15 minutes. Reduce to 400 for 30 min or til apples are tender.
