Peanut Brittle


1 cup white sugar
1 cup white karo-syrup
2 cups raw peanuts (in produce or nut section of groc)
1/2 teaspoon salt

Mix together in frying pan. Cook until 1/2 second after bright light brown which takes 10-15 minutes on medium high heat. Dump in 1 teaspoon baking soda and stir vigorously. Spread on buttered cookie sheet fast. Let cool. Lift off. Break into pieces.
