The Gospel

The word gospel means good news. The word is used to stand for an idea that is a central theme of the Bible. Here are some verses that state the idea of the gospel.
  1. Problem
  2. Consequence
  3. Gift
  4. Choice

"as it is written, There is none righteous, not even one"

  • Romans 3:10

"for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God"

  • Romans 3:23

"Therefore, just as through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men, because all sinned"

  • Romans 5:12

"But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."

  • Romans 5:8

"For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."

  • Romans 6:23

"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life."

  • John 3:16

"if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved;"

"for with the heart man believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation."

"for 'Whoever will call upon the name of the Lord will be saved.'"

  • Romans 10:9-10, 13

If you believe these verses and would like to accept God's gift, I encourage you to bow your head and talk to God:

  • Tell Him that you know you are not perfect. (Romans 3:23)
  • Tell Him that you understand that you can not be good enough to make up for your imperfections. (Romans 6:23)
  • Tell him you believe that when Jesus died and rose from the dead, He paid the penalty for your sins ... and thank Him for it. (Romans 5:8)
  • Tell Him you accept His gift of forgiveness and that you now consider Jesus your Lord. (Romans 10:9)

God does not want what you can do...

He wants you to believe what He has done.
